  • Every child should learn and play and benefit from sports
  • Athletics should be fun for kids and for families
  • Participation in athletics should build confidence and self-esteem  
  • Self-esteem comes from knowing and doing what needs to be done
  • Instruction in sports is important to developing skills
  • Adult issues should not be the focus of kids' sports
